I try to move on and on
Memories I try to put behind,
They haunt me every now and then,
Emotional toil I encounter from time to time.
Flashes of memories when I was a child
Living in despair and solemness,
When mother left by thousands of miles,
And father drank away his sorrowness.
Not realizing one's neglect
Bestowed upon his children,
He's reason to care and protect
Although, God has dismissed his sins.
To this present day I haven't any resentments
That we were birthed into this cruel world,
And never shall be any repents
Though, a child yearns for is to be loved.
Now a past we must put behind us
And we are grateful for the lives we live,
Thus, new beginnings and tomorrows brings hope and trust
For our beloved mother and father we forgive.
